If you are just moving out of your parents home or starting over, these are some of the basics you should have. Now, if you are intimidated by the cast iron skillet and dutch oven, switch them out for a 4 quart sauce pan, non-stick skillet, and a crock pot.
Now what have been our OMG GOTTA-HAVES. Well let's start out with the fact that James and I disagree on this one. I'm team Instant Pot and he's team Air Fryer. And no, using the combined machine DOES NOT count. When we dig these bad boys out, we are making some serious eats. Its been known in the Kitchen at Marean Manor to have the oven going, the Instant pot going, couple of crock pots going and the air fryer going. That being said, if you put all your appliances in one machine and if that machine dies, so does all those other machines. Now we can agree on how much we love our crock pots. We are firm believers that if you want to set it and forget it, GO FOR IT!! Its all part of being a team. Each of us brings something different to the table and what we do bring to the table makes for a fantastic feast.
Yes, there are lots of kitchen gadgets and gizmos that are out there and yes they are all pretty cool for the most part. However, you need to consider one important thing......how much space do you have for everything. Having way too much kitchen stuff and not enough space makes it difficult to enjoy cooking because everything feel cluttered, unorganized and overcrowded. So K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Silly.
Semper Fi,
James & Comfort
