Was it a Coincidence or Was it a Godwink:
"A Godwink: An event or personal experience, often identified as coincidence, so astonishing that it is seen as a sign of divine intervention, especially when perceived as the answer to a prayer" A Godwink Christmas, Hallmark Movie Channel. https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/
Have you ever had one of those days where things went all wrong but then at the end of the day they were supposed to go wrong because they were lining you up for all the ways things were supposed to go right. Like being early/late and that if it weren't for you being early/late, things would have turned out totally different? Things that were so coincidental, so astonishing, with such divine intervention, like the universe was pulling you in that direction, the stars were aligning, the strings being pulled, to put you from the wrong place to the right place. When that happens, its called a Godwink.
So in January of 2016, my day was going insane. I got home from work and my son was like "oh hey by the way mom, I have to make a quiche for French class...Okay when is it due....tomorrow.....yeah thanks for the heads up kid." Really appreciate that one. Of course I had NOTHING in the house to make a quiche. So it was a late night trip to Walmart to get the ingredients for quiche. My son texts me the recipe in route.....oh did I mention it was already 8:00 p.m. when I left for Walmart and this thing needed an HOUR in the oven to cook. And yeah there was no way I was getting my @$$ out of bed at 4:00 a.m. to make this thing so he could take it to school at 7:30 the next morning. So I got the stuff I needed, got home, its now like 10:00 at night. I get the ingredients put together and into the oven. That was when the Godwink moment happened. I saw that my new Facebook friend, James, had just like my post about making this damn quiche. So I sent a message, out of curiosity, like hey what are you still doing up. He said he was bored and figured he would check Facebook. He said he normally didn't do that type of thing because he gets up early to be to work. He said he just got a feeling he was supposed to check Facebook at 10:30 at night. It was in that moment we started talking and we spent the next 2 hours talking. Five years later, we are working on our plans for our wedding and new life together.
So needless to say if it weren't for my son's French teacher, Mrs. D., doing a food project for French class and my son deciding he wanted to make the gold standard of French breakfast foods, I wouldn't be getting ready to marry the man of my dreams. So next time you feel like things are a little out of control, remember that is just someone winking at you putting things under better control.
